It’s rough because they’re building to a climax that takes place in the MIDDLE of the book.. and so it feels slow and a little unfocused to me. At the same time, I approve most heartily of every moment Brienne is on-screen. She is my idol.

For me, it’s more that I’m not enjoying the direction of some of the characters (both where they are straying from the books original plot, and where its following it directly). It might have to do with the fact that lately I’ve read more literature on the feminist perspective and I’m noticing how sexist parts of the book and show plot are, and that’s turning me off quite a bit. I don’t really want to get into it on here and start a fight with anyone. I’m going to leave it at this statement and let everyone continue on with their own opinions.

It wasn’t a date, it was super fun, and we went to go see Star Trek. We had the worst seats EVER. Front row, at one side. Parts of the screen wouldn’t even render in 3D and EVERYONE was wedge-shaped. I’m going to attempt to take a screen cap from the movie and manipulate it into what I saw. It should be illegal to make people watch a movie like that for full price.

Kind like these. I actually laughed solidly for the first 15 minutes of the film.
